There are thousands of online logo design sites on the Internet. One that stands apart from the pack is Logoworks. It is a popular online logo design firm that claims to have a 98% satisfaction rate from over 65,000 clients. We recently purchased one of their design packages and decided to write an evaluation based on our experience.
We needed a logo developed for a client that was launching a new site. The first step was to choose a package that best suited our needs. Logoworks offers six different packages ranging from $299 to $1499. Each package offered includes different features. The lowest priced package includes a logo designed by two different designers, four different logo concepts, and two rounds of revisions. The second package (the one we ultimately chose) includes three designers, six logo concepts, and an unlimited round of revisions for $399. The highest priced package includes many features including three designers, six logo concepts, unlimited revision rounds, free business cards, free letterhead and envelope designs, and two stationary concepts with two rounds of revisions. This package, known as the startup package, even includes a website design! You get a custom layout for your site for three web pages, two web designers with two different concepts and revisions.
After you pay for the package you select, you are assigned a project manager and are taken through a series of questions about your business concept. Your answers to these questions help the designers understand your business and assess the direction you want to head toward.
After three business days, I received an e-mail notifying me our logo concepts were ready. I logged in and looked over the six different logos. After our client chose the one closest to his concept, we answered more questions about the design. Specifically, what we liked, what we didn't like and exactly what we wanted to change. We went through this process twice before our client selected a suitable logo. We downloaded the final logo and received an option of having a copy on a CD send to us in the mail. Our project manager notified us by e-mail each time our logos were ready. He even called us to ensure we were happy with our experience during the process.
Overall, LogoWorks has simplified the concept of logo development. They have streamlined their process allowing them to charge less than their competitors. For $399, we received six different professional logos concepts to choose from - a deal I couldn't find anywhere else on the Internet. They guarantee your satisfaction as well. If you don't like their original concepts, a refund is given less an administrative fee. I recently saw that Business 2.0 magazine identified them as one of the 25 hottest Web 2.0 companies to watch out for in 2007.
